Yes, you read it right. One Tree Hill Season 5 started January 8, 2008 with a 2-hour premiere. The 1st hour showed where the characters are now. Nathan has his leg broken and is drinking too much. Lucas had released a book but has a hard time creating a second one. Brooke's Clothes Over Bro's is a big hit and she owns its company but she doesn't seem to be satisfied. Peyton works for a record label with a boss that she doesn't like. Mouth have a job but his boss hates him. Haley is a teacher at Tree Hill. At the end of the episode, Peyton called Brooke and they decided that its time to go back home, in Tree Hill. The second part is when Brooke and Peyton arrived at Tree Hill and they visited everyone. I found out that Peyton and Lucas are not together and Lucas's new girlfriend is Lindsey, his book editor. Skills is still doing fine. Him and Lucas will be the new coaches at Tree Hill.
